Snow showers moved into the north central Colorado mountains during the early morning hours on April 14th. Snow showers continue through the day and ended during the early morning hours of the 15th. Higher locations, above 10,000 feet MSL, received 4 to 8 inches of snow with locally up to 10 inches. Roads remained mostly wet, but occasionally became snow covered under the heavier snow showers. Unfortunately, a 75 (estimate) car pile up occurred on I-70 just east of the Eisenhower Tunnel. Media reported 19 injuries, with one being serious.
