Fairly tranquil conditions across the Tennessee Valley late this
evening with the front south of the area, and any convection
associated with it is tracking ESE into central and south
Alabama. However, a weak shortwave will clip the region overnight
and interact with the remnant moisture in place to generate some
medium (40-70%) chances for some light rain showers (especially
during the 03-09z window). Some evidence of this was noted from
the light returns to the NW over western Tennessee that will
gradually drop SE into the area. Cooler air will filter into the
area from the NW in wake of the front, with lows in the upper 40s
to lower 50s being common by early Thursday morning. Breezy
northerly winds will reinforce this cooler air mass on Thursday.
Despite the mostly sunny conditions through the early afternoon,
high temperatures will only reach the mid to upper 60s.

High pressure to north will promote dry amd cool conditions again
Thursday night as lows drop back into the 40s. Clouds will begin
to increase on Friday as an area of low pressure will move
eastward along the northern Gulf Coast. Would expect mostly dry
conditions through the afternoon on Friday, but clouds will limit
heating and highs will peak in the upper 60s once again. The
aforementioned storm system will clip the Tennessee Valley Friday
night, bringing medium to high (50-80%) chances for showers and a
few thunderstorms (capable of producing some wetting rains of
around one-half inch). The system will quickly depart on Saturday
morning, with a cooler, drier air mass to follow -- and highs
reaching the mid 60s in most locations.

A sharper trough will move through the region Saturday night,
bringing a cooler, drier air mass into the Tennessee Valley for
the later half of the weekend. High pressure at the surface will
promote dry, mostly sunny days, but northwest flow will knock
highs back into the low to mid 60s on Sunday and overnight lows
into the lower 40s Sunday night. The upper-ridge axis will build
eastward into the area early next week, as a pronounced warming
trend will take place as temperatures return to seasonable levels
in the upper 70s to lower 80s Monday through Wednesday.

VFR conditions will be the predominant flight category at each
terminal through the period. However, some -SHRA passing across
the region early Thursday may drop ceilings and visibilities to
MVFR levels briefly between 06Z-10Z and have added a TEMPO to
highlight this. Winds will also become gusty out of the NNE
between 15-20 kts in the late morning and afternoon, before
weakening after sunset.
