At 1234 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Lakeside, or near Mechanicsville, moving east at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding
         possible.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Mechanicsville and East Highland Park around 1240 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this storm include Solomons Store,

Suffolk, or near Holland. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary.

The Virginia Statewide Incidents page posted that a water rescue occurred on the 1900 block of Bainbridge Street. Fire crews were reported to be on scene with two boats deployed and crews rescuing one adult and two juveniles from a vehicle submerged in water up to the wheel wells. No injuries were reported at the time of the report.
