KEY MESSAGES: - There will be strong westerly winds and little to no precipitation today. - Temperatures stay slightly warmer than normal with mostly dry conditions for next week. WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: A cold front will move through tonight to bring west to northwest winds up significantly today. A High Wind Warning is in effect for the Little Rockies through noon today, as the peak gust potential moves through for up to around 55-60 mph, while the rest of the area will see gusty winds closer to 45-50 mph giving a solid Lake Wind Advisory through this evening. This front looks to come through dry with any measurable precipitation very isolated. From Monday onward, the flow pattern becomes zonal aloft with some indicators of weak ridging. Expect steady temperatures and minimal rain chances to continue. Low precipitation accumulation over the past two weeks has allowed fuels to remain rather dry.
