Heavy snow, ranging between 8 and 16 inches in total, fell in the mountains and around 3000 feet near and west of Pierce. The Grangemont sensor reported rain with a surface temperature of 29 degrees from 2100 to 0600 February 1, which infers that freezing rain fell.
