A surge of deeper moisture moved across the area accompanied by a strong low pressure trough and upper level jet. This resulted in moderate snow across the central Colorado mountains and I-70 corridor from south of Glenwood Springs towards Basalt and Carbondale. The heaviest snow occurred across the northwest Colorado mountains where the Elkheads and Park Range Mountains received up to 2 to 3 feet of snow. The strong jet also resulted in some strong wind gusts in the mountains resulting in blowing snow.

Generally 4 to 10 inches of snow fell across the area with 9.8 inches of snow reported at Steamboat Springs 1.1 E.
Generally 10 to 30 inches fell across the area with locally higher amounts up to 36 inches at Tower.
Generally 5 to 12 inches of snow fell across the area with locally higher amounts up to 14 inches at Castle Peak.
