A late season winter storm passing over the eastern Great Lakes produced a widespread wintry mix for western New York and heavy snow for areas east of Lake Ontario. Precipitation initially started as snow across the entire area, but as warm air pushed north into the western Southern Tier and the Finger Lakes, snow started to mix with or change to sleet, freezing rain and rain, especially south of Interstate 90. Areas east of Lake Ontario remained primarily all snow, but some mixing did occur, limiting snow amounts some.
The most notable snowfall amount was 7.0 inches in Constableville.
