.DISCUSSION...

KEY MESSAGES:

 - Temperatures trend upward Sunday through Tuesday.

 - Dry conditions with next chance of scattered rain late Tuesday
   through early Thursday.

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW:

After a dry backdoor cold front moved through our region this
morning, an upper level ridge of high pressure will re- build
from the Rockies into the high plains through the remainder of this
weekend with warmer temperatures expected starting Sunday. Either
Monday or Tuesday will be the warmest day of this forecast
package.

The next Pacific trough pushes onshore early next week, and
through the northern Rockies on Tuesday. Precipitation chances
increase on late on Tuesday as the upper trough and cold front moves
across the state, but the small storm system weakens, and the southwest
flow cuts off quickly, limiting the influx of moisture. Any
precipitation through the middle of next week is expected to be
minimal if any at all.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS:

No significant deviation from the NBM forecast for the
period. Confidence is high on warmer temperatures between Sunday
and Tuesday. With limited moisture in the trough passage and cold
front, confidence for measurable precipitation is low (less than
30%) for Tuesday night through Thursday morning.
