An attic fire reported by the Marquette Fire Department was likely started by lightning as determined by on-the-scene reports and NLDN/GLD lightning data sets. No injuries were reported from the fire which occurred at a home on 310 Harrison Street in Marquette. The City of Marquette Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the Marquette Township Fire Department, Chocolay Township Fire Department, the Marquette Police Department, UPHS EMS, SEMCO and the Maquette BLP.
