A woman was killed and two passengers were injured when their vehicle slammed into a semi on United States Highway 56 at 9:50PM CST east of Lehigh after failing to stop at an intersection with Kansas Highway 15. The dense fog prevented helicopter transport. Emergency management relayed visibility of less than a quarter mile in Hillsboro which is about seven miles east of the incident.

The people who died

As the offices recorded each death: direct deaths were caused by the weather itself, indirect ones by something it set in motion.
