Snow squalls were widespread between 2 pm and 4 pm with widespread wind gusts 55 to 70 mph verified with visibility near zero. 5.5 to 6 inches of snow was measured in Rupert. Trees were downed south of Burley with one of the squalls. Tree limbs were snapped off in Rupert. The Burley airport reported a 66 mph gust with lightning and 1/4 mile visibility. Idaho Power reported 7 thousand customers lost power 12 miles west of Burley and near Minidoka and Acequia.

Wind gusts of 45 to 70 mph were widespread with heavy snow and snow squalls were reported at: Yale, Idahome, Moburg Canyon, and Sweetzer Summit with visibility below 1/4 of a mile.

A school but was hit by a pickup truck and slid into a ditch near Teton Lakes Golf Course in Rexburg. No injuries occurred. The town of Parker recorded 7 inches of snow.

Snow and wind causing low visibility caused a multi-vehicle accident on US Highway 30 north of Grace at 240 PM MST. It caused the highway to be closed between Lava Hot Springs and Soda Springs. 50 to 60 mph wind gusts were widespread.

Snow and strong winds closed Idaho Highway 47 from Ashton to north of Warm River. Island Park measured 7 inches of snow on the 8th and 9th.

Whiteout conditions were reported in Aberdeen, Fort Hall and at the Pocatello airport due to heavy snow and wind gusts of 35 to 50 mph. 0.25 miles visibility was recorded at the Pocatello airport with a 37 mph wind gust. The snow squalls occurred from 3 to 4 pm MST.
