The strongest of the storms produced a wind gust of 60 mph at the South Dakota Department of Transportation Mesonet station 4 miles north of Altamont. Additionally, a trained spotter 6 miles north of Gary reported that the combination of wind and hail damaged beans crops and the plants in his garden.
