A supercell thunderstorm developed in the Piedmont area and moved southeast to Black Hawk and the far north side of Rapid City before weakening as it moved onto the plains. The storm produced hail around quarter size and gusty winds.

The storm produced hail around quarter size and gusty winds. A microburst likely occurred in Black Hawk, which downed trees and power lines.
