An upper low was moving through the Four Corners region which tapped some moisture from around Baja. Colder air aloft was already in place from a storm system that moved through two days earlier. Four to eight inches of snow were reported with this system.

New Mexico, southwest New Mexico, and southwest Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Windy conditions with patchy blowing dust expected today. Loose
outdoor objects may be lofted. Blowing dust can reduce
visibilities.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Windy conditions will be seen on Wednesday as well as snow showers
for the mountains and lowland areas. Windy conditions will blow
around loose outdoor objects. Wintry precipitation will create
slick and hazardous travel. Dry conditions begin Thursday lasting
through Saturday before rain chances return once again on Sunday
evening.

The largest snowfall accumulation reported was 1 mile north of Pinos Altos where 8 inches of snow fell. Other reports included 6.5 inches 4 miles southeast of Pinos Altos and 5.3 miles northeast of Silver City, 6 inches 1.8 miles north-northwest of Silver City and 4.4 inches 2.8 miles north of Bayard.
