.SYNOPSIS...
A relatively weak cold front approaches this afternoon and
pushes through Sunday. A comparatively stronger cold front
arrives later Monday into Tuesday. High pressure then builds in
Wednesday into Thursday.

&&

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/...
Latest analysis late this morning places a warm front across
our region, extending southeastward from low pressure near Lake
Superior across central PA into southern NJ. This warm front
will slowly lift northward, clearing the northern border of the
CWA by early afternoon and allowing a more summerlike day. As
this happens, however, forcing with the front combined with a
passing shortwave has resulted in widely scattered showers this
morning.

The next incoming shortwave will help trigger storm development
this afternoon and evening, particularly north of the I-195/PA
Turnpike corridor. SPC has placed the Poconos and Sussex county NJ
in a Enhanced Risk for this afternoon and evening, and a
Slight Risk across northern NJ into the Lehigh Valley. There
will be two shortwaves passing later today and tonight, one
during the late afternoon, then a second shortwave overnight
which will likely bring more convection through the region
between 00Z and 06Z. This second batch of storms likely has
less instability to work with, but an isolated severe storm
can't be ruled out overnight either. Locally heavy rain remains
a risk, but primarily in the far north, and storm motion should
generally keep rainfall relatively limited today, with training
the most likely reason to get any flooding.

&&

.SHORT TERM /SUNDAY THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT/...
The cold front from Saturday night will largely wash out across
the region Sunday morning, eventually departing offshore by
Sunday night. Overall weak ascent from this boundary, thus only
a slight chance for a shower along our southern coastline,
possibly working in conjunction with a limited seabreeze in the
afternoon. Given westerly flow, however, the seabreeze (and thus
any scattered showers) won't make it too far inland. Otherwise,
another warm and humid day with temperatures climbing into the
upper 80s/low 90s with dewpoints in the upper 60s/low 70s.

For Monday, an upper level trough with strong shortwave energy
will be over the Midwest and Great Lakes Monday morning and will
track east during the day until it is over the Ohio Valley late
Monday night. As a result, the morning hours on Monday should
largely remain dry with an isolated shower or thunderstorm in
the afternoon, mainly south and west. But as the system tracks
closer to the region later in the day, a warm front will develop
out ahead and lift north through the region Monday night as a
secondary low forms over the Mid-Atlantic. As this front moves
through overnight, it will usher in a very saturated airmass
with PWAT values well over 2 inches (with some guidance pushing
2.4 inches!). Quite a bit of uncertainty regarding the
progression of the warm front with concern about the potential
for a slow-moving overnight boundary. In combination with
classic "skinny CAPE" profiles, this setup carries enough flash
flood concern to warrant a Marginal and Slight Risk Excessive
Rainfall Outlook from WPC. Additionally, given the nature of
warm fronts and the potential for instability in the warm sector
of the system, cannot rule out the possibility of some severe
weather as well, which has warranted the SPC to place us in a
Marginal outlook for severe weather.

.LONG TERM /TUESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY/...
Cold front gradually works its way east on Tuesday, but it will
take some time for dew points to drop from the low to mid 70s
down into the 60s. Temperatures will not be much cooler behind
the front. A few showers will be possible as the front pushes
through, but our upper level trough will have become more
positively tilted at this point, thus limiting the baroclinic
forcing to aid in overall ascent along the front.

High pressure will then build east for the middle of the week
with highs in the low to mid 80s for Wednesday and a tick warmer
for Thursday. Both days will feature dew points in the 60s,
making for a much less humid few days. Another cold front
approaches towards the end of the week.

.AVIATION /15Z SATURDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY/...
The following discussion is for KPHL, KPNE, KTTN, KABE, KRDG,
KILG, KMIV, KACY and surrounding areas.

Through 00Z this evening...generally VFR. Main concern will be
for potential brief drops in vsby to MVFR levels with passing
showers and possibly brief intervals of IFR vsby with scattered
stronger thunderstorms, which are most likely to affect the
Lehigh Valley, Poconos, and northern NJ. Winds SSW increasing
to around 10 kts with gusts up to 20 kts.

Tonight...generally VFR, but with brief intervals of MVFR and
possibly IFR vsby with scattered stronger thunderstorms. Again,
best chance of impacts is in the Lehigh Valley, Poconos, and
northern NJ. Winds mainly southerly around 5 kts.

Outlook...

Sunday...VFR. Westerly winds around 10 kt. Moderate confidence.

Sunday Night...VFR. Northwest winds around 5 kt. Moderate
confidence.

Monday through Monday night...VFR most of Monday, then sub-VFR
with conditions possibly IFR or lower in SHRA and scattered
TSRA, mainly late Monday night. VRB winds around 5 kt, becoming
S-SW 5 to 10 kt Monday afternoon, then 10 to 15 kt with gusts up
to 20 kt Monday night. Low confidence.

Tuesday through Tuesday night...Scattered SHRA, possibly a
TSRA, in the morning and afternoon. Otherwise, VFR. W winds 10
to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt, becoming 5 to 10 kt at night.
Low confidence.

Wednesday...VFR. NW winds 5 to 10 kt. Moderate confidence.

.MARINE...
Conditions will remain below Small Craft Advisory levels through
tonight. Winds will be southerly at 10-15 kts with a few gusts
up around 20 kts. Seas will increase to 2-4 ft. Main concern
will be potential gusty thunderstorms later today into tonight,
with the highest risk over the northern waters adjacent to
Monmouth County NJ.

Outlook...

Sunday and Sunday night...No marine headlines expected.
Southwest winds around 10-15 kt. Seas 2 to 3 feet.

Monday through Monday night...Sub-SCA conditions during the
day, but SCA conditions possible at night. SW winds 10 to 15 kt
with gusts up to 20 kt. Gusts up to 25 kt possible late Monday
night. Showers and scattered thunderstorms with VSBY
restrictions Monday night.

Tuesday through Tuesday night...SCA conditions possible. W
winds 10 to 15 kt with 20 to 25 kt gusts, diminishing Tuesday
night.

Wednesday...Sub-SCA conditions. W winds 10 to 15 kt.

Rip currents...

South winds will increase to 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20
mph with breaking waves of 1 to 2 feet. There will also be a
medium period southeast swell. As a result, there is a LOW risk
for the development of dangerous rip currents at the New Jersey
and Delaware coasts today.

On Sunday, winds remain parallel to the coast with south to
southwest winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. Once
again, there will be a medium period southeast swell. There is a
LOW risk for the development of dangerous rip currents at New
Jersey and Delaware beaches.

north central Gloucester and west central Burlington Counties through
215 PM EDT...

At 140 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Lindenwold, or 7 miles southeast of Gloucester City, moving east at
30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Gloucester City, Cherry Hill, Evesham, Mount Laurel, Voorhees,
