Weak ridging over the area will keep light easterly winds across
west central and southwest Florida today. This will favor showers
and storms developing over the east coast and interior this
afternoon with storms moving slowly westward. Some heavy downpours
will be possible with slower moving storms that could produce some
localized flooding. The Bermuda high strengthens on Thursday
becoming the dominate weather feature across Florida through the
weekend. Abundant moisture with PWAT values over 2 inches combined
with an easterly wind flow will produce scattered to numerous
showers and storms each afternoon with storms moving from east to
west.
Hot and muggy conditions will persist with daytime highs in the low
to mid 90's with heat indices reaching 102-107 degrees, which is
just below heat advisory criteria. Muggy conditions continue each
night with near 100 percent RH and overnight lows in the mid 70's to
around 80.

Prevailing VFR conditions expected through the period with winds
less than 10 knots. Scattered showers and storms expected later this
afternoon, so will hold VCTS through 03Z and TEMPO for TSRA at all
terminals between 20-22Z. Gusty winds and brief MVFR conditions
possible in the vicinity of thunderstorms. Conditions clear after
02Z with light and variable winds expected overnight.

Weak high pressure over the area will produce light winds over the
eastern gulf waters today. Scattered showers and storms will be
possible during the late afternoon and evening hours. By Thursday,
high pressure near Bermuda will ridge westward over Florida
producing a predominant easterly wind flow. This will produce
scattered to numerous showers and storms moving from east to west
with the highest chances during the evening hours over the eastern
gulf waters. Gusty winds and rough seas will be possible in the
vicinity of thunderstorms.
