Persistent southwest winds brought hot and humid conditions to southern WI. Heat index values well over 100 degrees occurred. Cooling centers were opened in some communities. Two heat related fatalities occurred in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee County Medical Examiner determined that a 39 year old female and a 89 year old male died from heat related causes. The female was found in her house and the gentleman was found collapsed in his backyard.
