Pockets of showers and thunderstorms developed across northeastern South Dakota as an area of low pressure tracked northeast during the overnight of the 14th into the 15th. These thunderstorms produced isolated severe thunderstorm wind gusts around 60 mph at the Summit and Peever SDDOT stations, and also damaged trees on the northwest side of Aberdeen.

The Brown County Emergency Manager reported damage around the fairgrounds, and a social media report with photos depicted tree damage at Rolling Meadows Drive, both on the north side of Aberdeen. The time of the damage is radar estimated.
