Hail, up to the size of golf balls in Garden City, was associated with a series of supercell storms that formed during the early morning hours of May 9th. Storms also produced winds up to 62 mph. The overall system also helped generate some post-frontal non-thunderstorm wind gusts up to 67 mph near Sisseton and 62 mph in Turnerville later that afternoon.
