4 lightning. Local standard time, as filed.
Colleton County Emergency Management reported that a person was struck by lightning on Cherokee Plantation at 5109 Combahee Road. The person was transported to the Medical University of South Carolina hospital in downtown Charleston.
Lightning struck a home in the 1100 block of Turkey Trot Drive. The extent of the damage to the home is unknown.
A residential structure fire due to lightning was reported. No injuries occurred.
The Charleston Fire Department reported a residential structure fire due to a lightning strike.
