Thunderstorms moved into western North Dakota from Montana as a low level jet increased in intensity. Early in the episode, a thunderstorm produced severe winds over McKenzie County. Later on in the episode, additional storms became severe over south central North Dakota. The strongest wind gust reported was 62 mph near Mandan in Morton County. The largest hail reported was one inch in diameter, occurring near Braddock in Emmons County.
