Snow developed across Chase County during the late morning hours on January 5th and continued through the evening hours into the early morning hours on January 6th. Heavy snow occurred during the afternoon hours with north winds 20 to 30 mph and gusty. This caused areas of blowing snow and visibility less than a mile at times in open areas. Snowfall amounts from 7 to 9 inches occurred across Chase County.
