Snowfall totals ranged from 1 inch up to 5 inches within the region. The snowfall lasted into the afternoon hours. A vehicle accident was caused by the snowfall on I-70.

Light to moderate snow fell across Sherman County producing total snow accumulations ranging from 2 to almost 5 inches across the county. The highest snow accumulation was reported at 13 miles north-northwest of Ruleton, Kansas. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported an accident on Interstate 70 about two miles east of Kanorado, Kansas involving an automobile striking the rear of a semi truck at 4:50 AM MST due to the hazardous driving conditions caused by the the winter weather. The accident resulted in one person seriously injured and transferred to the nearby medical center. Two people were also reported uninjured in the accident.
