Very heavy snow rates were observed by SNOTEL stations and the webcam at Grangemont corroborated this. The Hemlock Butte SNOTEL picked up close to 10 inches of snow in 9 hours.

The Gibbonsville COOP reported 5.2 inches of snow while Leadore only received 0.4 inches. The Saddle Mountain SNOTEL above Lost Trail Ski Resort reported 9 inches of snow.

An observer in Grangeville reported close to a foot of heavy snow that fell in 10 hours. A spotter located 5 miles southwest of Grangeville received 14 inches. Another spotter located 7.3 miles southeast of Kooskia received 12.5 inches. Spotters mentioned that the driving conditions were scary with vehicles getting stuck during the storm. Power outages were reported south of Grangeville.

The ITD snow depth sensor at Powell on US-12 reported very heavy snow, 4.4 inches in 3 hours, during the morning hours associated with the passage of the cold front. Other snow amounts include around 7 inches Lolo Pass and Mountain Meadows. The Elk City sensor reported heavy snow throughout the day.

Whitebird Hill on US-95 received heavy snow with ITD mentioning that snow chains were recommended. A spotter located on a bench at 4150 feet, 9 miles southwest of Whitebird Hill received around 7 inches of snow. Power outages were reported south of Grangeville.
