Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Tampa Bay Ruskin FL 813 AM EDT Thu Apr 28 2022 .UPDATE... Some low clouds in place this morning behind the front. These will lift over the next hour or two, and scattered to numerous showers and storms will be possible mainly across the southern half of the area ahead of the frontal boundary. Temps are on track to reach into the mid to upper 80s this afternoon, and have no updates planned. && .AVIATION... Some low clouds and patchy ground fog is in place mainly at the northern terminals this morning. This will lift over the next hour or two, then scattered thunderstorms will be possible across the area in the afternoon. Generally ENE flow at the northern terminals with a weak afternoon sea breeze and light flow becoming WNW at the southern terminals. && .MARINE... High pressure builds in from the north today as the boundary shifts east of the area and settles south. Generally easterly flow will establish over the coastal waters by tonight, with an easterly wind surge bringing winds up close to SCA levels. Will monitor and might need a short SCA for the evening hours through around midnight or so. Winds become more SE for Friday through the weekend and into next week as high pressure remains across the area. Scattered showers and storms will be possible each day from diurnal convection over land.
