The storm dumped a swath of heavy snow over portions of north-central Wisconsin with accumulations generally in the 4 to 6 inch range. In addition to the snow, winds gusts of 30 to 40 mph created drifting snow which further hampered travel across the region. The highest reported total was 6.5 inches in Medford (Taylor County).

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for parts of southeast Minnesota
and west central into north central Wisconsin.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight
Winter Storm Warning tonight into Wednesday.
Snow will move in this evening, becoming heavy at times tonight.
Travel will likely become hazardous quickly. Snow accumulations
of 5 to locally 9 inches is expected by the Wednesday morning
commute.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday
Additional snow accumulations of an inch or two may be seen
Wednesday morning along with some light freezing drizzle at
times. In addition, strong northwest winds gusting into the 35 to
45 mph range will likely produce drifting of the snow and reduced
visibility in patchy blowing snow. Hazardous travel is expected
through the day.
There are additional chances for wintry precipitation Thursday
night into the weekend which could impact travel.

Winter Weather Advisory In Effect Tonight into Wednesday.
A rain and snow mix to all snow is expected to move in this evening,
continuing into the overnight hours. A thunderstorm is also possible
with lightning being the main hazard. Snow accumulations of 1 to
locally 4 inches is expected by the Wednesday morning commute.
Expect some slippery roadways.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday
Light snow or freezing drizzle will continue Monday morning
which may produce some slippery roadways. In addition, strong
northwest winds gusting into the 35 to 45 mph range will make for
some difficult travel at times.
There are additional chances for wintry precipitation Thursday
night into the weekend which could impact travel.

and parts of west central into central Wisconsin.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight
Rain showers will develop late in the day, that could mix with
snow at times tonight. A thunderstorm is also possible with
lightning being the main hazard. Snow accumulations, if any, are
expected to be minor. Advisories have been cancelled for this
area.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday
There could be some rain and snow around Wednesday morning, along
with a chance for patchy freezing drizzle. It will turn windy
through the day as well, with peak speeds in the 30 to 40 mph
range. A wind advisory has been issued for most of Wednesday.
There are additional chances for wintry precipitation Thursday
night into the weekend which could impact travel.

A few thunderstorms are possible tonight. Lightning will be the
main hazard.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday
Although there could be some patchy freezing drizzle around
Wednesday morning, the main story will be the strong winds that
will develop. Winds of 25 to 35 mph, gusting up to 50 mph at
times, are expected. A wind advisory has been issued for most of
Wednesday and travel could be impacted for higher profile
vehicles.
There are additional chances for wintry precipitation Thursday
night into the weekend which could impact travel.
