A strong cold front on October 30 brought a round of showers and thunderstorms, followed by cold and windy conditions across the region. All counties across North and Central Texas recorded their first freeze of the season Halloween morning. The average first freeze date for both official climate locations (Waco and Dallas-Fort Worth) is November 22.
