Minor flooding of agricultural land persisted along the White River around the Highway 47 bridge south of Reliance. After the river crested at 19.0 feet and 30,600 cfs on May 29, the river fell below the flood stage of 15.0 feet early on June 1.

Runoff from heavy rain over northwestern Nebraska caused minor flooding of the White River from the Nebraska-South Dakota state line to the Badlands. Both river gauges at the state line and near Oglala crested a little over flood stage in late May.
