A developing low pressure system offshore brought a period of rain and snow to the mid-Atlantic. While predominantly rain fell in coastal areas, a widespread 3 to 5 inches of snow were observed over much of eastern Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey. Some modest freezing rain accumulations also occurred in southeast Pennsylvania.
