Strong thunderstorms moved from Montana into southwest North Dakota during the early morning hours. As the thunderstorms moved east one became severe and continued into south central North Dakota. The largest hail reported was the size of golf balls, and fell south of St. Anthony in Morton County. The strongest wind gust reported was estimated at 65 mph, and occurred in Strasburg, Emmons County.
