A progressive storm system approached the area from the southwest late Monday night, spreading a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain across western Massachusetts. The wintry mix came to an end late Tuesday evening.

Snow and sleet totals across northern Berkshire county of up to 6 inches occurred, whereas totals across southern Berkshire county were 3 inches or less.
