Some minor flooding occurred for several days in the Della area in Hailey with water reaching housed and some roads closed. Significant damage was not reported. The City of Hailey has placed hard road closures in the Della area from the West end of Cedar Street past Della Vista Dr ending at Triumph Dr. Water is running from the Draper Preserve area from the river.

.DISCUSSION...Upper low is still spinning over the Desert
Southwest this morning, but westerlies are making their way into
southeast Idaho today. Models are suggesting this will be a dry
flow, but some showers and thunderstorms may develop this
afternoon along the Wyoming border. High temperatures in the 80s
can be expected through Thursday.
A weather system will push towards the WA/OR coast Thursday with a
cold front pushing through the Intermountain West as early as
Thursday evening. GFS is a bit slower with the front, swinging it
through early Friday morning. So Thursday should see increasing
chance for showers and afternoon thunderstorms, particularly along
the cold front. Some of the thunderstorms could approach severe as
strong mid-level winds bring some enhanced dynamics and shear.
The 500mb trough will deepen and move over Idaho through Friday
night, and should keep showers and thunderstorms in the forecast
through then. MOS guidance is backing off on winds for Friday and
Saturday, around 20 to 25 kts sustained. The weekend is trending a
little drier with the upper low lifting into Canada by Sunday,
though the GFS is dropping a shortwave along the back side of the
low Sunday morning, which may trigger a few showers. Overall,
expect dry conditions through next Tuesday with a broad upper
ridge over the East Pacific and the Western US. Hinsberger

.AVIATION...Drier airmass working into the region from westerlies.
Best chance for convection today will be in eastern highlands
along WY border. There is low confidence potential of seeing
additional convection fire further west per some of the high res
convective allowing models but not enough to include in terminals
at this time. So will just keep VCTS at KDIJ for today and watch
how things develop through the day. As with previous days, expect
convection to dissipate around 03Z, with VFR conditions
thereafter. DMH

.FIRE WEATHER...Last round of storms today, mainly eastern
highlands east of Interstate 15. As with previous days, trend
will be for storms to fire around or just after noon and continue
through mid evening. Dry sunny conditions forecast for Wednesday.
With deep trough developing along the Pacific coast, expect flow
to turn unsettled again by Thursday. Storms on Thursday may be
strong with some storms approaching severe limits. Cold front
drives through the region Thursday night into Friday morning.
Expect breezy to windy conditions associated with the front, along
with continued unsettled conditions and much cooler temperatures
headed into the weekend. DMH

flood warning continues tor the Big Wood River at Hailey. Minor
flooding is also occurring along the Raft River, where a flood
