After midnight snowfall began to spread eastward over Yuma and surrounding counties. The snow was accompanied by wind gusts of 30-40 MPH. During the morning a band of heavy snow began to move across Yuma and Kit Carson counties. Under the band the visibility fell to under a mile. Highway 385, 34 and 36 were all closed during the day due to the snow and blowing snow. The highest snowfall amounts occurred in Yuma County of 12 inches.
