Snow began to accumulate just after midnight across the Western Mogollon Rim early on February 17. Snow showers increased and became heavy snow by nightfall. Snow began to tapper off during the day on the 18th. Snow totals include (in inches): Flagstaff Airport 14.5, Mountainaire 12-14, Williams 10-14, Munds Park 11-14, Kachina Village 11-13, Flagstaff 6-11, and Bellemont (NWS Flagstaff) 6.9. The Flagstaff Police Department reported 54 traffic collisions. Four of those resulted in resulted in injuries. Schools were not in session due to President's Day.

Heavy snow fell across the Eastern Mogollon Rim starting early in the morning on February 17th. Snow fell through most of the day on the 18th. Some of the snow totals include (in inches): Forest Lakes 21, Happy Jack 6, Clay Springs/Pinedale 15, and Heber-Overgaard 8-11.

Heavy snow fell across Northern Gila Country from early morning on February 17 well into the evening of February 18. Here are some of the snowfall totals in inches: Washington Park 6-11, Tonto Village 7-9, Payson 6-7, Kohls Ranch 6, and Star Valley 4. The elevation in Payson is right around 5000 feet (=/- 200 feet), Star Valley 4,800 feet, and Washington Park is 6,000 feet. This is on the southern slopes of the Mogollon Rim so upslope played a very important roll in the distribution of the snowfall amounts in this zone.
