A storm system moved in from the Pacific and brought heavy snow across a large swath of southern and central Wyoming. The heaviest snow occurred in Natrona County around the Casper area. Snowfall amounts around Casper ranged from 8 to 14 inches, including 11.4 inches at the Casper airport. Heavy snow also fell in the Lander Foothills where 8 to 12 inches of snow fell. Heavy snow also fell in portions of Lincoln and Sweetwater Counties where over 6 inches of snow fell in many locations.

A trained spotter measured 6 inches of new snow 18 miles west of Kemmerer.
A trained spotter at Green River reported 6 inches of new snow.
At the Buckboard Marina, 7 inches of new snow was measured.
Trained spotters measured 7 to 10 inches around Wamsutter.
Wyoming 789 was closed for several hours due to snow and blowing snow. A spotter at Jeffrey City reported 8.5 inches of new snow.
Snowfall amounts ranged from 8 to 13 inches of snow around Lander. At observer at the Lander airport measured 9.9 inches of new snow.
The Casper Mountain SNOTEL reported 12 inches of new snow.
Heavy snow fell through much of Natrona County. Snowfall amounts ranged from 7 inches at Powder River to 14 inches in portions of Casper. The observer at the Casper Airport measured 11.4 inches of snow.
