A strong storm system brought snow to much of far western South Dakota during the overnight and morning hours. The heaviest snow fell across the northern and central Black Hills, where precipitation changed over to snowfall earlier. Snowfall amounts of four to eight inches fell across much of these areas. Elsewhere, snowfall totals of two to six inches were reported across portions of far western South Dakota.
