Storm spotter measured a 6 inch snow depth with blowing and drifting snow. Visibility under a quarter mile with sideroads barely passable.
This longer-duration winter event was really made up of 3 separate systems. The first wave brought snow and mixed precipitation to Central Montana on Friday, February 2.
Deaths and injuries are direct and indirect together, as the offices filed them. Damage is property and crops in the dollars of the year, not adjusted for inflation, and only where an office estimated it.

This longer-duration winter event was really made up of 3 separate systems. The first wave brought snow and mixed precipitation to Central Montana on Friday, February 2. After a lull, another round of mostly snow impacted Central Montana on Saturday, February 3. The third, and final, wave brought snow and mixed precipitation to Central and Southwest Montana Sunday-Monday, February 4-5.
