This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central
Louisiana, south central Louisiana, southwest Louisiana, west
central Louisiana, and southeast Texas.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Light streamer showers are moving across the area this morning. A
Dense fog Advisory through mid-morning. Showers and isolated
thunderstorms this afternoon into tonight ahead of a strong cold.
Winds will become brisk behind the front with temperatures falling
and rains tapering off during the overnight hours.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday
Much colder air will again spill back into the region on Friday
and continue through the weekend. Look for clouds to be exiting
during the afternoon hours tomorrow with skies clearing. Drier air
will be in place through the weekend and into the early portions
of next week.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Gulf of Mexico.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Dense fog along the coast and into the bays and bayous this
morning. Most of the fog will be gone by the late morning hours.
Look for showers and isolated thunderstorms this afternoon into
tonight ahead of a strong cold front. Winds becoming northwest at
20 to 30 knots with seas building. Advisories have been posted
through tomorrow.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday
Rains ending during the overnight hours. Strong winds and high
seas will continue into the afternoon hours. Winds to relax a bit
over the weekend but will remain brisk with elevated seas. Winds
will relax during the early portion of next week with seas
falling.

...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHERN NEWTON AND NORTHEASTERN
JASPER COUNTIES UNTIL 400 PM CST...
At 258 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Ebenezer, moving east at 35 mph.
Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.
Locations impacted include...
Toledo Bend Dam, Ebenezer, Burkeville, Browndell, Farrsville,
Harrisburg, Mayflower, Sam Rayburn Dam and Wiergate.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If on or near Lake Sam Rayburn, get out of the water and move
indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to
10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you
are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter
now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.

A gustnado formed on the leading edge of a line of showers and thunderstorms last night. A house lost some shingles from the roof and siding from the exterior walls. A small storage building next to it was pushed off its piling. A chicken coop was destroyed, and a trampoline was thrown 300 yards away. Next door, another house had some minor exterior damage, likely from flying debris as a carport was destroyed. Another trampoline was picked up and landed up 50 feet in a tree. The max estimated wind speed was 80 MPH.
