What happened

The episode as NWS ICT wrote it up.

As the warm front associated with the main low pressure area in the southern plains moved north, widespread showers and embedded thunderstorms developed across much of southern and southeast Kansas. The stalled warm front, led to numerous rounds of moderate to heavy rainfall, with numerous reports of flooding.
