Upper ridge over Idaho shifts east into Saturday as Pacific trough shifts inland. Afternoon and evening mainly dry convection looks possible Saturday and Sunday. Depending on timing of the dynamics aloft, there is a small chance convection could linger overnight Saturday night. Upper ridge rebounds across the region Monday, with center of High setting up directly over 4-corners region. This pattern is favorable for moisture to work north through the Great Basin, and both GFS and ECMWF are hinting at this taking place later this week. Thus have nudged precip chances to earn slight chance mention of thunder over higher terrain. Otherwise, expect warming temperatures through the week, approaching triple digits, exceeding in a few locations by Wednesday. Have kept current forecast hovering at or just below raw numerical guidance, but at the higher end of current guidance spread.
