This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of south central
Alabama...southwest Alabama...northwest Florida and southeast
Mississippi.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Severe thunderstorms will be possible across much of the region
today and tonight, with a potential for multiple rounds of storms
to impact the area starting around noon or early this afternoon
and continuing through late tonight. Damaging winds, large hail
and a few tornadoes will all be possible.
Heavy rainfall will be possible today and tonight as multiple
rounds of storms move across the region, which could result in
flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas. Isolated instances
of flash flooding may also occur, particularly west of Interstate
65 where it currently appears there is a better potential for
heavier rainfall through tonight.
Wind speeds of 25 to 30 mph, with frequent gusts between 30 and
40 mph, are expected outside of thunderstorms through this
evening. A Wind Advisory remains in effect for the entire area
today through this evening.
High surf and a high risk of rip currents will continue along
area beaches through late tonight. Minor coastal flooding is
possible today, particularly during the time of high tide this
afternoon.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday
Another approaching storm system could bring another round of
showers and thunderstorms, a few of which could be strong with
locally heavy rainfall late Wednesday into Thursday.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the coastal
waters of Alabama and northwest Florida.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Small craft advisories remain in effect through tonight as strong
southerly flow and increased seas continue in advance of an
approaching cold front.
Severe thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon through
early Monday as a storm system moves across the region.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday
Showers and thunderstorms are expected to return late Wednesday
and Thursday as another storm system moves across the area.
Increasing onshore flow could bring hazardous conditions for small
craft again late Wednesday into Thursday.

At 1119 AM CDT, the strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Goodwater to near Rock Hill to near Mcneil, and
moving northeast at 40 mph.
Half inch hail and winds of 40 to 50 mph will be possible with these
storms.
Locations impacted include...
Waynesboro, Wiggins, Lucedale, Richton, Leakesville, Clara,
Perkinston, McHenry, Beaumont, New Augusta, McLain, State Line and
Buckatunna.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A tornado watch remains in effect until 300 PM CDT for southeastern

COUNTIES...CHOCTAW COUNTY UNTIL 100 PM CDT...
At 1202 PM CDT, the strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 6 miles southeast of York to 9 miles southwest of
Crandall, and moving northeast at 55 mph.
Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.
Locations impacted include...
Butler, Lisman, Pennington and Toxey.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Minor coastal flooding occurred on the Highway 90 Causeway over Mobile Bay at the I-10 entrance and exit ramps. Tides were running 1.5 to 2 feet above normal during a spring tidal cyclone and occurred at the time of high tide at the Coast Guard Sector Mobile tidal gage.

Coastal flooding reported on the southbound lane of the Dauphin Island Parkway, just north of the Dog River Bridge. The right lane is impassable. Tides were running 1.5 to 2 feet above normal during a spring tidal cyclone and occurred at the time of high tide at the mouth of the Dog River.
