Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Tallahassee FL 738 PM EST Mon Nov 14 2016 .UPDATE... No significant changes to the previous forecast below appear necessary. && .AVIATION... [Through 00z Wednesday] VFR conditions are expected to prevail through the period with light winds. && .PREV DISCUSSION [319 PM EST]... .NEAR TERM [Through Tonight]... The eastern CONUS trough has cleared the mid/upper level clouds across most of the region this afternoon. At the surface, weak ridging prevails with light northerly winds. Lows tonight will fall into the low to mid 40s inland, and around 50 degrees nearer to the coast. .SHORT TERM [Tuesday Through Wednesday Night]... Upper level troughing over the eastern half of the states Tuesday will push off the Atlantic coast Wednesday night. At the lower levels, high pressure will prevail over the northern Gulf coast for the next couple days. Other than some upper level cloud cover, Tuesday and Wednesday should be mostly sunny with max temperatures in the mid to upper 70s and min temperatures mid to upper 40s. .LONG TERM [Thursday Through Monday]... Deep layer high pressure will prevail through the remainder of the work week and with mostly clear skies, we'll see max temperatures rise into the upper 70s and lows only dipping into the low 50s. On Saturday, we'll have our next cold front passage. It's starting to look more and more like we won't get any rain from this system either, with most of its driving energy remaining well to our north, but we do expect temperatures to cool down noticeably behind it. Highs will struggle to peak in the mid to upper 60s early next week and morning lows will drop into the upper 30s to around 40. .MARINE... High pressure will dominate, allowing light winds and low seas through the remainder of the work week. After a frontal passage on Saturday, winds from the north will increase to advisory levels Saturday night, possibly lingering into early next week. .FIRE WEATHER... Dry conditions are expected to continue for the next several days. Min RH values are expected to range from the mid 20s to mid 30s away from the coast on Tuesday afternoon, but with light winds red flag conditions are not expected. .HYDROLOGY...
