A winter storm brought 6 to 16 inches of snow at and above Sierra pass levels, slowing mountain traffic and requiring chain controls. Heavy rain fell, as much as 3 to 6 inches in the foothills, 1 to 2 inches in the Valley. Minor rises in foothill streams were observed. The Sacramento River at Tehama Bridge approached but did not reach flood stage.
