June flooding on the James River near Columbia continued into early July before falling back to below flood stage in the middle of July. Flood stage at Columbia is 13 feet. The river rose to 14.2 feet in late June. The James River near Stratford also rose to just above flood stage in early July before falling back to below flood stage in mid July. The river rose to just above the flood stage of 14 feet to 14.1 feet on July 12th. Some flooding of agricultural land along with a few roads occurred.
