A compact and quick-moving upper level system brought snow to western South Dakota during the morning and early afternoon. Snowfall of two to six inches was reported across much of western South Dakota, with as much as eight inches falling over the southern Black Hills.

A compact and quick-moving upper level system brought snow to western South Dakota during the morning and early afternoon. Snowfall of two to six inches was reported across much of western South Dakota, with as much as eight inches falling over the southern Black Hills. The heaviest snow occurred in the Rapid City area during the morning commute, with over two dozen traffic accidents reported.
