A snowstorm brought over 24 hours of snow to portions of northwest Indiana producing 8 to 14 inches of snow with some localized areas receiving over 18 inches of snow due to lake effect. Some of the highest totals include: 18.3 inches near Valparaiso; 15.7 inches near Porter; 15.6 inches near Crown Point; 12.5 inches near De Motte; 12.0 inches in St John; 11.7 inches near Dyer; 10.0 inches in Rensselaer; 10.0 inches in Remington; 9.2 inches near Hebron; and 9.2 inches in Mount Ayr.
