Due to the very heavy rains which fell across the upper reaches of the Nueces River watershed, major river flooding was the result between Asherton and the headwaters of Lake Corpus Christi. The Nueces River at Asherton recorded a crest of 29.70 feet on the 14th. This is the 5th highest all-time crest on record for Asherton. The Nueces River at Cotulla recorded a crest of 22.81 feet on the 17th. This is the 4th highest all-time crest on record for Cotulla. South of Tilden on the Nueces River, a crest of 23.50 feet on the 17th was measured. This is the 3rd highest all-time crest for South of Tilden on the Nueces River. The Nueces River at Three Rivers recorded a crest of 38.95 feet on the 21st. This is the 10th highest all-time crest for Three Rivers.
Widespread lowland flooding several miles from the main Nueces River channel occurred along the Nueces River between Asherton and the headwaters of Lake Corpus Christi. Many homes, roads, farm and oil field equipment, and cattle were flooded and cut off due to the major flooding.

Major flooding along the Nueces River occurred near Cotulla. Some farm and ranch equipment were flooded. Cattle were cut off by the flood waters also.
Farm and ranch equipment were inundated by major flooding along the Nueces River. Some oil field equipment were flooded also.
County Road 365 in River Creek Acres flooded and closed due to major flooding on the Nueces River.
Airport Park and boat ramp flooded and closed due to major flooding on the Nueces River.
County Road 336 was flooded and closed at Keller Road due to major flooding on the Nueces River. Approximately 20 mobile homes were evacuated. Flood waters surrounded 2 permenant home structures.
Antelope Road was flooded and closed due to major flooding along the Nueces River. Approximately a dozen homes along Cub Lane were cut off and not accessible.
