THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHEAST GEORGIA...PIEDMONT
NORTH CAROLINA...WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA AND UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE...MAINLY THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING...ACROSS THE WESTERN CAROLINAS AND NORTHEAST GEORGIA. THE
MAIN THREAT FROM THE STORMS WILL BE CLOUD-TO-GROUND LIGHTNING.
HEAVY RAIN FROM PERSISTENT STORMS COULD RESULT IN RUNOFF THAT
CAUSES RAPID RISES ON SOME STREAMS AND CREEKS STILL SWOLLEN FROM
RECENT RAINFALL. WATER LEVELS WILL REMAIN HIGH ALONG MOST OF THE
MAIN STEM RIVERS THROUGH TONIGHT. REFER TO THE LATEST WARNINGS AND
STATEMENTS FOR POINTS ALONG THE FRENCH BROAD RIVER...BROAD
RIVER...AND CATAWBA RIVER FOR MORE INFORMATION.
