A lake effect band of mixed rain and snow developed early afternoon November 17, and changed to snow while becoming heavy at times beginning around 4 pm. The band persisted into the predawn hours of November 18, before shifting south of the area by 4 am. Event totals ranged from 6 to 12 inches, with highest amounts of 12.9 inches near Point Rock and 12.5 inches near Stokes Corner.
