The Anderson Herald Bulletin reported that separate crashes involving tractor-trailers closed parts of Interstate 69 as snowfall made local roads treacherous. One of those accidents occurred when a Chevrolet Suburban slammed into the rear of a tractor-trailer. The passenger was injured and was transported to Saint John's Medical Center with multiple fractures and lacerations. State troopers investigated 42 slide-offs, 21 property damage crashes, and 4 minor personal injury accidents on Interstate 69 in northeast portions of central Indiana.

The Herald Times Bloomington reported that just over four inches of snow canceled schools, rehearsals, food pantries, fitness classes, and the bookmobile. Area schools were closed or delayed as well. About two dozen accidents were reported across Monroe county, with most of those appearing to be slide-offs. However, nine wrecks had enough damage or minor injuries to require a full-fledged report. Both directions of Indiana 46, between Bloomington and Nashville, were closed for a portion of the morning hours as crews worked to plow and free semi-trucks that were stuck in the snow. No other information on the injuries was reported.
